It's true Virginia is for lovers and the Arthritis Foundation, Virginia Chapter loves serving our communities. We service all of Virginia with the exception of Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax and Falls Church. Those areas are serviced by our neighbor to the north the Metropolitan Washington Chapter.

The Virginia Chapter is headquartered in Richmond with a branch office in Virginia Beach. Our mission is to improve lives through leadership in the prevention, control and cure of arthritis and related diseases for 1.5 million Virginians. We are able to accomplish our mission with the commitment of our  volunteers and board members. Here is what our president Annie Magnant has to say about the Virginia Chapter for 2008. Commitment to a Cure Breakfast

The Virginia Chapter held its annual Commitment to a Cure Breakfast, Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at the historic Jefferson Hotel in Richmond. The Commitment to a Cure Breakfast is a powerful one hour event dedicated to raising awareness of arthritis and related diseases, as well as raising money. Nearly 200 people attended to hear inspiring people share their emotional stories of how arthritis has not only affected their lives, but the lives of their families and friends.  The event also included a national Arthritis Foundation video featuring all Virginians and the opportunity to join Arthritis Alliance, the chapter's annual giving society. This year's breakfast raised $65,000. Thank you Virginia for your continued support.
